I was always into sport when I was a child, but since leaving school I have personally worked out in the old style back street gyms where grunting etc was just part of the course, and since my early days I have been associated with gymnasiums and fitness exercising throughout my adult life.

Despite working out with weights I am no big bodybuilder, quite the opposite, i am relatively slim, lean and fit, but i do enjoy resistance training which features in my weekly routines as it does have very good health related benefits.

I started my professional training career whilst employed by the prison service where I acheived alot of my qualification at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. These ranged from weights related qualifications, treatment of injuries, to numerous coaching awards. My speciality was in exercise and fitness where I excelled and qualified in BAWLA Instructing, Exercise to Music, Gym, Circuit instructing and Studio Cycling. Since then I have gone on to Personal Training, Sports Massage, National Pool Lifeguard Qualifications plus Climbing instructor and working towards my Mountain leaders. A lot of the people who I taught ETM too where male prisoners and football teams in the Doncaster area so I had to work these groups to a high level due to there fitness. Another duty I performed was devising olympic and power lifting programs for inmates who competed in the inter prison competitions, along with personal training programs and general injury rehabilitation which was in conjunction with the physiotherapists.

I also attained my teaching certificate and assessors awards and began on a pathway to instruct others in this art. I worked in the prison service for 13 years applying my trade as a PE Officer and have instructed many Staff, cirvilians and prisoners who have gone on to find employment within this industry, some have even become managers for the likes of Fitness First before I finally left the service of her Majesty.

I was then employed by Bradford College in 2009 to produce and run the Level 2 & 3 Fitness Instructor courses, where we teach NVQ and VRQ qualifications in exercise and fitness to the next generation of potential fitness instructors. These include becoming personal trainers, exercise referral specialists and pre/post natal exercise. I have done some free-lance Massage for the first team at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Rugby League Team and I run my own practice where I deal with holistic massage, remedial massage, deep tissue/sports massage, treatment of soft tissue injuries as well as performing massage for maintenance of muscular performance.

I also deliver sports massage & fitness qualifications which can be done one to one or to a maximum of 4 in a class, depending on the course undertook.
